Dao Foods International: May 2022
Introducing Dao Foods Cohort 3, Starfield Closes $100M Series B, UPSIDE Foods Acquires Cultured Decadence, and more.
It has been an exciting start to the year at Dao Foods International.
Last month we welcomed our third cohort of China-focused alternative protein ventures under our Dao Foods Incubator initiative. This time around, the participants hail from different parts of China and the world — including Zhejiang, Guangdong, Singapore, and Canada — with a Chinese cell-based meat company, a microalgae protein ingredient company, a plant-based bakery venture, and three cross-border companies with a passion for and a commitment to further developing China's alternative protein sector.
The full list includes Liven Proteins, Lohas Foods, NewDay Farm, ProTi Food Tech, Saint Michael Foods and Zero Limit.
We are excited to be working with Cohort 3 and would like to invite all of our subscribers to our upcoming Public Demo Day on May 26. Register now for the English session or the Chinese session. (Note: The two sessions will be held at different times.)
